History
The 6th Av Mob, also known as the Sixth, are a street gang from the westside of Quaid City. They were founded on 6th Avenue and spread to the surrounding areas in 2070. The founding members, were Matthew "One Eye" Reed and Calvin Warren Jr.
Matthew and Calvin started the gang to protect the local streets around the westside. They soon turned to committing murders, robberies and other crimes around the city. That was all before late 2081 when they started selling the illegal drug known as Blue. Not long after, almost every member of the sixth was addicted to the drug, some say it was a conspiracy and the police pushed it on to the Sixth to keep them under control.
Alliances and rivalries
Rivalry with 3rd Av Syndicate
In 2082 a few members split from the Sixth creating their own group known as the 3rd Av Syndicate,
The two groups are now bitter rivals after Curtis Williams, a member of the Sixth, opened fire on a couple of members from the 3rd Av Syndicate killing the little brother of one of their founder's.
Alliance with Li Tong Family
In the late 70's, the Li Tong Family expanded outside of their turf buying businesses in and around the Sixth's stronghold.Rumor's spread that Li Tong's only son, Jian Li Tong, was dating a member of the Sixth until 2080. It was at this point that his body was discovered.
Since then the Li Tong Family backed out of the Sixth turf and have little to no contact with them.
Location
The majority of the Sixth operate throughout the west of Quaid city, however, they now only reside in and around 6th Avenue.
Dress Code & Practices
The Sixth dress code incorporates the colours Yellow, Green and Red.
The Sixth mark their turf and bodies with the number 6 but the members addicted to Blue have modified the tattoo's and graffiti to show three six's.
What is Blue?
Blue is a synthetic plant grown and made using chemicals from off-world colonies. The leaves of the synthetic plant glows blue hence its name. They say taking it makes you feel like everything around you is moving in slow motion and makes you feel untouchable. This is the reason that gang members became easily addicted to it.
